Howard Baer Inc. is a privately held refrigerated trucking corporation that provides direct store delivery transportation services to companies that require dedicated perishable commodity movements. The Company currently holds common and contract carriage authority for such commodities as are dealt in or used by grocery or food business houses. Operations are generally in 30 states with Nashville Tennessee at the center of this area’s radius. Dispatch and customer service is available on a 24 hour basis at the Nashville location. All the terminals have managers who are primarily responsible for providing service to customers in their immediate area. These terminals also provide complete maintenance facilities to help insure that customer merchandise is adequately protected during shipment and movements are delivered on a timely basis. Our equipment consists of 200 company owned tractors and 550 refrigerated and dry box trailers. The principle commodities hauled by our company are perishable items requiring protective service such as milk bread meat cheese frozen foods and other processed food products. Our Company has been in business for over 60 years. During that time we have gradually become a specialized carrier. Our philosophy towards growth has always been to provide excellent service to our existing customers first.
