Black Apple Marketing

Black Apple was originally conceptualized in 2005 as a live event production company in NYC. We began by producing plays, comedy, theatre festivals, promoting concerts, and live game shows. Soon we began representing the talent we were producing and became one of the top indie music agencies in town. In order to promote our shows and our bands/ artists, we had to do some insane guerrilla marketing stunts and tactical grassroots strategies, and so that became our introduction into the world of professional marketing. When we opened up in LA, our focus shifted to only marketing and publicity. There we repped many notable artists in the entertainment industry: Grammy-winning composers, Oscar-winning filmmakers, celebrities, and others. This was around 2010 when social media was really taking off. We began testing the waters of paid social and seven or so years later, it became our main focus. It dawned on us not too long ago that all this advertising was really to build a large list of leads and customers. We thought to ourselves: what's the fastest way to build a large list?
